Demolition began last week preparing the build site of the new Sarah Bush Lincoln Newton Clinic.
Located at 807 W. Jourdan St., Newton, it will be approximately 5,000 square feet with a brick facade and a canopied entrance, similar to other Sarah Bush Lincoln clinics. Construction is expected to take about nine months.
It will also feature six exam rooms, a procedure room, laboratory and diagnostic imaging services and an expanded reception area. Advanced Practice Providers Michelle Fulton, APRN, and Michele Kinder, APRN , will continue to provide care at this new clinic.
Utz & Associates is the architect on the project expected to cost about $1.5 million.
Sarah Bush Lincoln Facilities Services Director Tim Kastl explained that Sarah Bush Lincoln purchased three parcels of land near the Newton High School and razed the buildings to make room for construction.
